What is Prayer & Spiritual Warfare?

The Christian life is not the easiest path a person will walk upon. It takes a certain level of determination, commitment, perseverance and resilience. This is where the notions of prayer and spiritual warfare become relevant. Prayer is the ongoing privilege of being able to communicate with God at any time and any place. Constant prayer in the believer's life allow us to share our burdens with God, submit our requests to Him, worship Him, and receive spiritual power for Godly living. Prayer is one of the necessary ways we actively gain victory during our life and especially during spiritual warfare. The Bible affirms that living in the world as a Christian will be likened to the feeling of being at war or in battle. We are constantly attacked by false worldviews, lies, deception, and frequent discouragements by the devil. Despite this, it is our duty to remain steadfast in our relationship with Christ and stand firm on His promises to us.

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:10-12)
